Dr Lindsay Browning

Chartered Psychologist, Neuroscientist, Author, Sleep Expert

Dr Lindsay Browning is a leading sleep expert, psychologist, neuroscientist and author. She founded Trouble Sleeping in 2006 to help companies and individuals get better sleep. Dr Browning’s qualifications include two degrees in neuroscience and psychology and a doctorate from the University of Oxford, where she specifically studied the treatment of insomnia.

Dr Browning is the author of the self-help sleep book “Navigating Sleeplessness”, first published in 2021, which is a great first step for anyone wanting to learn more about treating poor sleep. In addition to offering better sleep and wellbeing workshops and seminars within organisations as part of their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) offering, Dr Browning has delivered many keynote talks at conferences. She often works in the public sector, within the NHS and police, to advise on issues such as better sleep during shift work.

In addition, she has worked with numerous schools to help stressed teenagers during exams who struggle to sleep. Dr Browning is often asked to appear on television and radio and appears in newspapers and magazines discussing topical sleep issues. In addition, she works with hotels and resorts to offer wellness and sleep retreats, including having worked as a resident sleep expert for a luxury hotel in the Maldives.

For individual clients, Dr Browning uses cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) to help people overcome their sleeping problems. Although her in-person clinic is based in Wokingham, Berkshire, she offers online therapy as well. Getting a good night’s sleep is vital for everyone’s mental and physical health, and Dr Browning is passionate about her mission to help people improve their sleep.
