Clare Foster

Writer, trainer

Clare has over 15 years of experience writing content and providing online support for a variety of topics – including mental health, pregnancy loss, pre and postnatal support, wellbeing and resilience.

Her book ‘How to Help Someone after a Miscarriage’ was published by Trigger Publishing. Clare has written key content, leaflets and guidance for Mind, Samaritans, The Miscarriage Association, The Luna Foundation, Action on Postpartum Psychosis, Mindwise, The Mix, The British Lung Foundation and Bupa’s workplace mental health hub.

She is experienced at managing and moderating online mental health communities too. Alongside her existing work, she has also worked with Time to Change to deliver mental health audits and recommendations to many large companies throughout the UK.

She currently runs Miscarriage and Workplace training sessions for the Miscarriage Association. This training focuses on research she undertook and resources she wrote for their website in 2019 – whilst offering support and learning to employers, managers and colleagues.

She has also written the Miscarriage Association’s leaflets and information on looking after your mental health before, during and after a miscarriage, supporting someone you know, support for partners, pregnancy after loss and information for young people.

Clare regularly works for the Information Standard and has been highly commended in the BMA Patient Information awards several times, among other awards.

Not to forget, Clare lives in the Chew Valley with her husband, two sons, cats Haddock and Calculus and collies Dr Watson and Mr Fezziwig.
